Is summer here already?! This weekend is going to be HOT HOT HOT! And You know what that means…WE ALL SCREAM FOR ICE CREAM!.. or gelato, we're not super picky. Here are our two recommendations for a tasty cool treat this weekend:
Bonta, a Bend local artisan Gelato shop is open for take out and delivery. Don't sweat this weekend without a cool sweet treat. They're offering scooped cups, pints, half gallons and gelato cookie sandwiches. We'd recommend getting stocking up with their 3 for $20 deal-which includes free delivery, you don't even have leave the house! Off their flavor menu our current favorites are of course the Dulce de Leche with Sea Salt, Stracciatella, and Tumalo Lavender and Honey. Looking for a different flavor? Go check out their menu online for the full list! Ps- They also have gluten free, and vegan options!
A Downtown Bend fixture for many years, Joolz markets themselves "Where the Middle East Meets the Wild West". Their blend of Middle East cuisine with Southwestern overtones creates a great dining experience that has been popular to Bendites for some time.
As part of Bend Premier Real Estate's Adopt a Bend Oregon Restaurant during the Covid-19 pandemic, we ordered two takeout meals from Joolz last evening. We had Oregon Beef Shawarma featuring rubbed Oregon beef, grilled onions, hummus, tabbouleh, Armenian pickles and grilled naan. We also had Chicken Kabobs over rice with grilled vegetables. Both meals were excellent and very filling. Dessert was not an option f...
Need a Caffeine Fix Today?During this quarantine it is essential to practice CDC safety guidelines, but does that mean your coffee options are restricted? Definitely NOT! Below are a few coffee establishments in Bend that are still open for take-out and bean orders. Help support local businesses during this chaotic time, and also feed your caffeine needs.
Also a shout out to Lone Pine Roasters! I recently purchased a bag of their Ethiopian Suke Quto beans. After brewing this coffee today, I can attest to the quality of this roastery. The Ethiopian beans were bursting with aromas of stone fruits and citrus, and the final product was gorgeous. Bright peach notes, with some honey, and a baking spice finish; definitely a great way to s...

We love Bend! Part of the Bend culture is the variety of places to eat and socialize. With all of Bend's restaurants shut down and only open for take out due to Covid-19 restrictions, we need to support them however possible. Each week Bend Premier Real Estate brokers are adopting a new restaurant and we invite you go join us. It takes a lot of food sales just to pay the rent. This week we are supporting Chomp Chomp in downtown Bend.
We ordered "Our Ramen" which was fabulous with garlic baby bok choy, nori, oyster mushroom, a soft boiled egg, chicken (we substituted chicken for pork belly) and scallions. Our second order was "All Mighty Gyudon" which was thinly sliced sirloin over rice with stewed onions, fried egg, pi...
Being a restaurant owner in Bend is not easy. From tight food margins to difficult customers, building a new business to a place people talk about and come back to is no easy task. Bend's newest restaurant is on track to follow that challenging path. Salute' Bend is an Italian restaurant in Bend worth remembering.
This cozy restaurant is located in the old High Tides location, or more recently the old Citizen location on Bond in Downtown Bend across from Deschutes Brewery. This space has a strange hallway entrance that looks more like the beginning of a bad horror movie with unique lighting and a sterile feel than the entrance to a wonderful Italian eating establishment. Make your way past the elevator to a glass doorway on your right and you will find the entrance to Salute' Bend.
The ambiance in Salute' Bend was exactly what we were looking for in fine dining. Cool mood lighting set the scen...
